Maziarka Encourages Board to Vote For Lawsuit

The West Bend school board meeting Monday night to vote on approval of a GSA  was amazing. What an incredible & diverse array of supporters...gay and straight enthusiastic, hopeful teens, middle aged couples and people even older than myself. A roomful of strangers joined by their desire to promote and support diversity and tolerance. A gathering I felt honored and proud to be a part of. The group was joined by two local attorneys who have spent hours of pro bono time on this issue simply because they are decent, law abiding citizens. Attorney Waring Fincke spoke first, passionate and professional as always, followed by Attorney Dan Patrykus  with a very succinct and eloquent summary.
Their message was simple...'This isn't about you or your personal agendas, it is about the kids who deserve to be respected and protected and it is about the law'. There were no threats, simply a statement of facts, confirmed by the school districts own attorney...the law is very clear, discrimination is not acceptable and almost every time this law has been challenged...the law has prevailed.
Sadly, despite their admitted knowledge of the legalities, the board chose to blatantly ignore their duties. Not all of them, because in fact, the GSA didn't lose...there were simply an equal number of ignorant vs. intelligent votes...an equal number of votes to ignore the law vs. uphold the law. Three of the board members actually demonstrated their knowledge of the facts. Three of the board members actually took the time to research the issues they were voting on. Three of the board members actually put thought into their decision. Three of the board members acknowledged the huge legal and financial implications their vote would have on the taxpayers they were elected to represent. Three of the board members did their jobs. Those three were Beaver, Miller and Parks.  Kudos to them for acting and thinking like intelligent, caring human beings. I would applaud their courageousness if I didn't find it appalling that one should need courage to protect and support the young lives they committed to serve and to follow the laws of this nation.
The other three board members chose to set a shining example of good citizenship to the entire body of students by voting to break the law, regardless of the costs on so many levels. An awesome way of demonstrating to our youth the encouraged practice of thinking of the consequences of choices before acting.
Weigand, who was asked to recuse himself from the vote based on the fact that previous statements of record  had proven  him to be a biased nitwit, refused. He then proceeded to announce on the open record that he knew of psychologists & psychiatrists who could help people get out of this lifestyle...doubtful statement since homosexuality has not been considered a diagnosis by the medical community for decades. Having practiced in this field for 30 years, I can't imagine any psychologists or psychiatrists who would even be willing to acknowledge 'knowing' him. Can anyone say Clint McCance? Other than that, he reserved the majority of his hot air to waste 15 minutes of everyone's time defending himself & blaming anyone else regarding a complaint against him that his own cohorts had already found to be justifiable. His objection statements regarding the GSA were pretty much limited to the equivalent of 'cuz I don't wanna'.
Stepanski  barely uttered a word, likely using all his resources to keep from soiling himself at hearing what the legal & financial ramifications of a 'no'  would mean but not daring to vote against his cronies.
Marquardt was pretty much the 'star of stupidity' for the night, with the bulk of his rationalizations for a 'no' vote basically limited to 'just cuz I said so' & 'you can't make me, so there'. His moment of brilliance was the analogy he made to explain why it didn't matter if voting 'no' was a violation of Federal law. It went something like this 'if a vendor wanted the school board to buy something & threatened to sue us if we didn't buy it...should we give in & buy it?'  Stunned silent by this illogical rationalization, I'm not sure anyone answered him.....so I shall. HELL YES...if there is a Federal Law that says you have to have to purchase whatever any vendor wants you to, as ridiculous as that would be...it would then be illegal not to purchase it. My lead foot & I don't particularly care for the speed limits on many roads...if I am stopped for disobeying the traffic laws I shall simply explain that I personally disagree with the miles  per hour someone else has chosen and I don't like being backed into a corner by threats of a ticket, therefore, I consider myself exempt from this law. Based on the same stupendous logic, I would encourage all of you hunters to shoot anything you want  all year long if your true beliefs & or religion are telling you it's the right thing to do...don't worry about the DNR...they're not nearly as powerful as the Feds. My 8 year old grandson could probably come up with a better rationalization & my 11 year old granddaughter absolutely could.
And poor, poor Ginny...she must have had a sleepless night suffering from a swollen head, inflated ego, uncontrollable gleeful chortling & muscle soreness from patting herself on the back so vigorously. Miss Ginny was kind enough to provide all the young adult supporters, both gay & straight, with some entertainment during the long wait by handing out cheesy, little, plastic, propaganda comic books written at a second grade level....thank you for the comic(no pun intended) relief Miss Ginny! The kids obviously enjoyed your special gifts as I could see them smiling & giggling & pointing out pages to others while trying to contain their laughter. She was chomping at the bit to get her moment in the spotlight & was visibly elated as she huffed & puffed her way to the podium to spit out her usual incomprehensible, fiction based malarkey with it's typical underlying theme of sex. Her fellow haters finally had to shut her down & she angrily stomped away from the cameras mimicking Schwartzenegger by muttering something similar to "I'll be back"..meaning.. 'my turn's not over...I should have longer than anyone else'.  Actually, following her pattern of histrionic bids for attention, Miss Ginny will probably give herself a lot more credit than she deserves for this particular act of cruelty & ignorance. In actuality, it was the homophobia, fear, arrogance and abuse of power by Weigand & Marquardt that carried the night. I'm pretty sure they would have acted just as maliciously even if Miss Ginny wasn't present to posture & pout.
To cap off the night, Marquardt ignored the concerns of the thinking board members & insinuated it would be the GSA's fault if the taxpayers had to foot a huge legal bill...really??? Because the GSA chose to request the rights and priviledges they are entitled to as citizens of this country, they forced you to break the law?? Wow ...way to accept responsibilty. When Beaver and Parks attempted to explain the futility of fighting the federal government, his mature response was equivalent to 'you started it'. We shouldn't be that surprised, certain types of people frequently tell their victims 'you made me do it'.
Um...nobody won guys...everybody lost. The kids lost  more self esteem, the taxpayers will lose educational dollars that could be much better spent and the board, if possible, lost more credibility.
While it was heartbreaking to see the tears of the young people who were simply asking for the right to contribute to making the world a kinder place, the publicity this decision will likely generate will be of benefit to all  GSA's experiencing similar discrimination.
It's all good...really. Enlightenment will prevail. And, thanks to Miss Ginny, we have an ample supply of plastic kindling for our eventual celebratory bonfire.

Maziarka announces to all her inability to comprehend the definiton of 'sex'

Ginny Maziarka, whose claim to fame is a Blogspot she uses to perpetuate her personal bitterness under the guise of religion, is at it again. Her Blogspot, which arrogantly & blatantly continues to violate Googles Blogger Content Policy of Hate Speech is currently spewing more misinformation to her followers. She utilizes inflammatory words, distortion of facts & name calling to incite further ignorance and hatred. Her attempts at sarcasm, which are reminiscent of 6th grade humor, are used against anyone who doesn't prescribe to her hateful, discriminatory viewpoints. She appears to be pathologically obsessed with homosexuality as her most vitriolic attacks are against anything that has to do with sexual orientation. In the field of psychology, the clinical term for this type of behavior is known as 'Reaction Formation'.
Her most recent crusade is to confuse and frighten anyone she can gather regarding the issue of whether or not to allow a Gay/Straight Alliance Club at the local high school. Ms. Maziarka apparently believes she is exempt from the law. This is yet another example of Maziarka wasting taxpayer time and money to garner attention for herself by attempting to change Federal Laws and/or The Constitution to suit her own sadly biased views. In the past she has attempted to bully the local library into censorship, which is constitutionally illegal. This fiasco caused the ACLU to become involved, putting West Bend in the national spotlight as back country buffoons...thank you Ginny. She also has attempted to coerce the school board into changing the Federal laws against discrimination so as to allow the schools to discriminate against gays.
If  Maziarka would spend half as much time educating herself as she does on her mean spirited campaigns, she would know that it is also illegal to deny a GSA. She would also know that a GSA is a youth leadership organization that promotes creating safer environments in schools through education about harassment, discrimination and violence. There is nothing in their mission statement, literature or history that insinuates anything sexual. It is Maziarka who has an unusual need to insert sexual innuendo into so many issues...or perhaps just gets a thrill out of using the word 'sex'.
It would be interesting to know how many thousands of taxpayer dollars have been spent on research and legal defense due to her frivolous claims & attacks. Seriously, who is wasting taxpayer money??
Interestingly, Maziarka has enabled 'comment moderation' on her blog, ensuring that any comment must first be approved by her prior to it posting. Most of her posts have no comments. Would love to know what's being posted that she is so desperate to hide ...or perhaps it's simply that nobody cares enough about her nonsense to waste time posting...
